Dr. Mike was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. He earned his undergraduate degree at Stony Brook University in New York, and prior to his career in dentistry he was a middle school science teacher in the South Bronx.

He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, where he completed honors courses in teaching, pediatrics, and forensic odontology. During his senior year, he received the Bernard E. Rudner Award for Excellence, given to a senior student who demonstrates superior performance in dental care and administration. After graduation, Dr. Mike went on to complete his Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry degree at NYU Langone’s Providence, Rhode Island site.

Dr. Mike is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and maintains interest in dental education and global dental health. He has previously worked as an attending doctor at dental residency program in New England. Dr. Mike’s commitment to children’s oral health extends internationally. He has participated in global outreach programs in Nepal and Jamaica, where he provided dental care to underserved children and taught pediatric dentistry to dental students.

Dr. Mike is proud to provide the full spectrum of dental care to the children of our community; to this end he also holds surgical privileges at Maine Medical Center in Biddeford (formerly SMHC). He is a strong proponent of continuing education to ensure both he and his staff stay abreast of the most recent techniques and technologies in the field.

Dr. Mike lives in York with his wife, Emily, and their three young children. Outside of dentistry, he has a passion for classic cars, travel, and paleontology.

"I tell my patients the same thing that I told T-Rex. Brush and floss every day, and don't forget to rinse!"

Preventive Dentistry

While our goal is to prevent dental emergencies, we understand that the need for urgent dental care is sometimes necessary and can be a stressful experience for both parents and children.  We strive to handle dental emergencies promptly and with compassion.
